Writing Articles: How to Write Less and Earn More
You can promote almost anything online using content marketing — this is, by writing articles. Unfortunately, many people try it, don’t get the results they expect, and give up. That’s a shame. You need an effective workflow. Once you have that, you’ll be able to write less, and earn more.
I’ve been writing articles for promotion for a decade. Over the years, I’ve refined my own workflow, and I’ll share it with you.

1. Have a Reason for Writing an Article
Before you start writing, decide what your end goal will be. What are you promoting? What links will you use? It’s usually a mistake to send a flow of traffic to the home page of a site — ensure that the page you send the reader to is directly relevant to readers, as well as to your goal.
For example, perhaps you’re promoting an affiliate product. In this case, you’d send the readers to a review of the product, or some other page on which you could presell them.
Please don’t skip over this step. It’s essential. There’s no point in creating content without a goal in mind.
2. Provide Solid Information
You expect the reader to spend a minute or two of his valuable time reading your content. Those are minutes he’ll never get back. Reward him for reading.
Not only is this good business practice, it makes sense too. Here’s why: if readers click away from your content in disgust, you’ll receive a black mark from the search engines. When you receive enough of these, your content just won’t appear in the search engine results pages.
3. Tell the Reader What to Do
You’re writing articles for a reason. Make sure that your resource box tells the reader what he should do once he’s read the material.
You need to make it as easy as possible for your readers to take action.
4. Promote Your Articles
You’ve written great material. Unfortunately, that’s not enough. You need to promote your material too. The more you promote, the more readers you’ll get, and the higher your search engine rankings will rise.
It’s the old story — the rich get richer.
You can promote your articles in many ways; just don’t ignore this vital step.
